SWF Live Preview

Browse and preview Flash files.

SWF Live Preview is a small SWF files explorer which helps you browse and preview Flash files.

SWF Live Preview enables "thumbnail view" in Explorer for Flash SWF and Projector EXE files, which otherwise can only be seen as ordinary file icons and make it confusing to identify the one you need.

Common objectives and our solutions:

  • View images of Flash files when browsing
  • Peek at Flash movies without opening them
  • Easily find Flash files you need
Browse Flash files

During installation, SWF Live Preview can create thumbnails to all SWF files on your PC, so that afterwards all you have to do is choose a correspondent option in Windows Explorer (View -> Thumbnails) - and now you can more quickly and easily browse through your Flash movies. Alternatively, you can choose directories and folders later to enable thumbnail view for them. Thumbnail view visualizes every Flash movie in your folders with a certain frame extracted from it. You can choose which frame to use as a thumbnail image and even set its size.

  • View Flash file info when browsing

SWF Live Preview gives convenient way to check SWF file information by displaying it when you move mouse cursor over any SWF or Projector EXE file and also in menu bar for quick reference. Details provided include Flash version, frame size, framerate, number of frames, whether the file is compressed or not and total file size.

  • View extended file information in "Properties" dialog

With SWF Live Preview installed, you can get extended information about particular file by right clicking it and selecting "Properties" option. Now you will see a new tab (SWF info) in this dialog. In addition to information which can be seen in hint area when browsing, it shows details on resources of a Flash movie, like number of shapes, morphs, fonts, actionscripts, images, sounds, videos, texts, buttons and sprites.
